Mikiko Kudo grew up and Japan and was also a math and science teacher in Kenya.

 

She always dreamed of becoming an artist so when she moved to Chicago she followed her passion and has been painting ever since. She now lives in Dripping Springs with her husband and two children. When she's not painting, she is practicing the violin, music being another passion of hers.

Her Fantastic Animal Series began with the inspiration of why not paint animals attired in fancy clothing? She started the debutante paintings of chickens in fancy clothes and that evolved to other animals like cats and dogs wearing old fashioned clothing.

 

Mikiko also loves nature, and flowers always inspire her.
